Christie Wilson

Finance Manager

Christie Wilson is an experienced Finance & Administrative professional, a mother three beautiful, energetic daughters, a nature lover, a former competitive hockey goaltender and more recently on ice official. From Kahnawa:ke, Mohawk territory, currently resides in Moffat Ontario. In 2012 she graduated from Laurentian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and in 2017 achieved her designation as a Certified Professional Public Buyer. She has worked in the public sector in municipal and school board organizations for the past 10 years. 

Christie’s professional experience has been within finance and administration, with a focus in public procurement, administration, and process improvements. Within her previous roles she has implemented new electronic filing and bidding systems, and lead project teams through complex RFP projects.  She feels most fulfilled when serving the Indigenous community and has taken on roles of increasing significance and stature throughout her career. Now, she is focused on working with Indigenous organizations to help establish sound business practices and help to create positive change.

More recently, she began supporting Feather Carriers Life Promotion, a small startup Indigenous organization with bookkeeping support before being promoted to CAO in December of 2023.

Christie is delighted at the opportunity to work with and support FPWC with their finance needs and to help improve processes and administrative procedures where needed. With motivation for creating seamless processes and strong records management, she is excited to join the FPWC team.
