Rekindling the Fire - A Podcast for and with the Indigenous mental wellness workforce
Listen Now:
Rekindling The Fire is a podcast series that honours the strength, wisdom, and spirit of the Indigenous mental wellness workforce. Each episode explores what it means to sustain wellness in roles rooted in care, bringing together cultural knowledge, lived experience, and practical tools that support healing and balance.
Grounded in the First Nations Mental Wellness Continuum Framework and guided by the Workforce Wellness Strategy, this series reminds us that wellness is a shared responsibility held at the individual, organizational, and systemic levels.
Through thoughtful conversations, we explore topics such as reclaiming language and boundaries, peer support, burnout recovery, and the policies that shape our work. More than that, Rekindling the Fire centres the people and practices that keep care rooted in culture, relationships, and connection.
At the heart of these conversations are the foundational outcomes of Hope, Belonging, Meaning, and Purpose. These are not just values. They are what wellness feels like when culture is alive, identities are honoured, and we feel connected to something greater than ourselves.
Whether you are providing frontline support, leading a team, or shaping systems of care, Rekindling the Fire offers a space to reflect, reconnect, and reimagine what workforce wellness can look like, together.
