First Peoples Wellness Council (FPWC) is pleased to share our 2025–2026 Annual Report, Collective Voices, Shared Wellness: Collaboration and Growth in Action.
This year’s report reflects a period of growth, learning, and continued commitment to the Indigenous Mental Wellness Workforce and the communities we serve. It highlights the collective knowledge, relationships, and shared efforts that have guided our work to support healing, wellness, and living a good life.
Highlights from the Past Year
Here are a few major milestones we are proud to share in this year’s report:
- Launching the Knowledge Exchange & Resource Sharing Hub, providing access to a growing collection of curated resources grounded in Indigenous Knowledge.
- Expanded training and learning opportunities focused on child and youth mental wellness and intergenerational healing.
- Advancing the Workforce Wellness Strategy through the release of the Wellness Worker Self-Assessment Toolkit.
- Launching our newest podcast, Rekindling the Fire: Supporting Workforce Wellness Together, to uplift workforce voices and support conversations about wellness, connection, and shared experiences.
- Continuing research and engagement related to child and youth mental wellness, workforce equity, health emergency management, dementia, Mental Wellness Teams, and healing.
- Working alongside the National Advisory Circle, Thought Leaders, Knowledge Carriers, partners, and communities to ensure workforce voices and experiences are reflected in FPWC’s work.
- Announcing that FPWC will co-host the 10th International Healing Our Spirit Worldwide Gathering in 2028, alongside Sister Organizations: Thunderbird Partnership Foundation, First Nations Health Managers Association, and the Youth Substance Addiction Committee.
