National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2026

September 30, 2026

🧡 Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we hold space for survivors, families, and communities while remembering the ongoing impacts and legacy of residential schools. May we continue walking together in truth, healing, understanding, and reconciliation.

Reconciliation requires both remembrance and action. Across the country, the Indigenous mental wellness workforce (IRS Resolution Health Support Workers, Cultural Support Workers, Knowledge Carriers, Mental Wellness Teams, Elders, and community helpers) walks beside survivors, families, and youth to foster intergenerational healing, creating Hope, Purpose, Meaning, and Belonging.

At First Peoples Wellness Circle (FPWC), we are dedicated to supporting this vital workforce through culturally grounded resources and advocacy for sustained funding. Today, and every day, we honour the survivors, families, and wellness workers who carry these truths and strengths forward.

Office Notice: FPWC offices will be closed on Wednesday, September 30th in observance of this day. We encourage everyone to take time to reflect, learn, and engage with local community events.
